Recruiting Real Estate Agents Has Nothing To Do With The Commission Split

I will repeat that.

Recruiting Real Estate Agents Has Nothing To Do With Commission Splits.

For you full service real estate company’s that are all about the 6-7% commission to the seller, what do you tell your real estate agents when a home-seller asks for a reduced commission?

How do you train your real estate agents to handle that question?

Is it all about the commission or the value you are providing? Is it about how much money I earn as the agent or is it how much you net from the sell?

If you are making such a big deal about how much your real estate agents charge, take some of your own medicine and realize that your problems with recruiting has nothing to do with the commission splits you offer or don’t offer. Besides if you recruit a real estate agent based only on commission split, guess what that agent will leave you for.

Stop making commission split your excuse to not recruit great, experienced real estate agents. Stop hiding behind your own inability to recruit and learn how to recruit. Stop pretending that you can’t help a recruit figure out Profit Per Transaction. Stop complaining that you give away your profits when recruiting experience real estate agents. I guarantee you that the place you are losing your profits is bringing in the newbies. Time spent in training, business development, management support, admin support, marketing costs, then having to write off monthly bills because newbies can’t afford to pay.

Profit Per Transaction. That’s what it’s all about.

Will I pay an accountant more, if they will help me figure out more write offs and help me keep more money or get a bigger tax refund?

Will I pay an attorney more, if they will help get a bigger settlement and prove their value?

If it really was about commission split then every agent would join one of these company’s that only charges $75 a month and $150 closing fee. These kind of real estate company’s are every where. Go to Craigslist.com Look under real estate jobs or real estate services. These kind of real estate company’s are in everyone’s market. If recruiting real estate agents is about commission splits then you better change your business model because all of your agents will be out the door soon to one of these real estate company’s.

The SCEF Recruiting System includes a commission comparison worksheet and you will be trained on how to help a recruit figure out their profit per transaction.
